Hi, I'm Dana Carretta-Stein, a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), EMDRIA Approved Consultant, author and absolute nerd when it comes to anything neuroscience and trauma therapy related.

I founded Peaceful Living Mental Health Counseling in Scarsdale, NY in 2015 and grew it to a group practice of highly skilled colleagues, whom I am so grateful and fortunate to work alongside. All of us at Peaceful Living specialize in EMDR Therapy and other trauma-informed methods.

I'm passionate about the importance of trauma informed care and the effect it has on emotional, physical and mental well-being.  I love learning about and educating others on compassionate, evidence-based, and effective counseling interventions to help individuals of all ages achieve fulfilling relationships and optimal wellness. 

I'm a huge fan of EMDR Therapy because I have seen first-hand how it can change the lives of people who haven't been able to get results with other types of therapy. As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, I love working with other EMDR therapists to help them improve their confidence using EMDR Therapy in their practice. I also love using EMDR Consultation to help other therapists with some of their most challenging or complex cases so their clients can achieve real results.

When I'm not in the office, you can usually find me spending time with my husband, our two beautiful children, and fur-baby, Jack.  Growing up in a big Italian family, I also absolutely love to cook and hang out in my kitchen with my family & friends.​​
