Be a Podcast Guest

Apply to Be a Guest on The Truth About Healing Podcast

The Truth About Healing Podcast features clinicians, educators, and individuals with lived experience who can speak honestly about trauma, healing, and the nervous system. Fill out the guest intake form below to apply, or to complete your intake if you were invited to be a guest.

Healing isn't just something we talk about here, it's something we live. Dana Carretta-Stein looks for guests who can go beyond theory and speak from real clinical expertise or real lived experience, without sugarcoating what recovery actually looks like.

This form is used two ways:

  • If you were invited to be a guest, use this form to complete your intake.

  • If you'd like to apply to be considered as a guest, use this same form to submit your information.

You may be a good fit if you are:

  • A therapist, clinician, or educator with a specialty relevant to trauma, EMDR, addiction, or nervous system health

  • A first responder, leader, or professional with a healing story that connects to burnout, resilience, or recovery

  • Someone with lived experience of trauma recovery who can speak to what actually helped

Submitting the form does not guarantee a spot on the podcast. Every application is reviewed, and shortlisted applicants will be contacted directly to schedule a recording.

Before You Fill This Out

This podcast exists to have the conversations most people avoid.

We talk about trauma, nervous systems, healing, relationships, and the things people think but don't usually say out loud.

Healthy disagreement is welcome here. You don't have to agree with me to be on this podcast. In fact, sometimes the best conversations happen because we don't.

If these questions make you a little uncomfortable, that's probably a good sign.

This can be your work, your background, or the parts of your life that connect to what you want to talk about.

For example: I'm a mom, a person of color, and someone who has lived with systemic trauma since I was young.

Keep it high level. We're looking for the version of you that sets up the rest of the conversation.

2. WHERE PEOPLE GET STUCK

  1. REAL TALK

4. SHADES OF GRAY

Some of the best conversations happen in the gray, where there isn't one clear right answer.

5. YOUR TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT TRUTH

We close every episode with this, so start thinking about it now.

This isn't a hot take for shock value. It's something true for you, that you're willing to say out loud and let stand.

Heads-up: this podcast is built on leaning into the uncomfortable stuff. If there's a lot you'd need to avoid, we may not be the right fit, and that's okay. Tell us honestly.
